If he had surrendered to popular opinion, (and even Ken4London was stirring it up on twitter that Boris wouldn't instal the screens), the hospital wards would be full by now of desperate people who drunk themselves stupid in despair over the lamentable performance against Algeria. The team were much better today and beat Slovenia, but is it really worth massive expense putting up the screens, the way things have been going? I'd wait until the game against Germany was over before deciding, if I were Boris. I love sport, but it's the middle of a credit crunch for crying out loud. We have all got our own TVs and there are plenty of sports bars for people who like a crowd. Don't give in Boris. This is just another example of Boris’s excellent good sense.
