Boris says awesome things...

In an article for GQ this month, Boris speaks of his chances of being in a newly-formed Tory team to spearhead Gordon Brown. “Statistically, I am due to be fired again,” he writes, and “it may be that the psychological effort needed to haul myself around into a more gaffe-free zone proves too difficult.” Boriswatch is shocked – surely that isn’t the sound of Boris being defeatist?! The Spectator, predictably, comes out fully in support of its former editor. “Most in Westminster”, says Fraser Nelson in his article, “consider this magazine’s former editor overdue a promotion.” And, also fairly predictably, Boriswatch is fully behind that idea…

The most amusing part of the whole Olympics logo debate appeared in the Harrow Times a few days ago, where the design was likened to Boris’s hair by Education Secretary Alan Johnson. Not one to take insults lying down – unless, of course, they’re dressed in a rather revealing negligée – Boris immediately leapt to his hair’s defence. “[My] hair “had yet to induce epilepsy”, he stated, before adding “and it cost considerably less than £400,000 to design.”

Good points, well made.

Friction.tv has just launched,  aiming for debate-by-internet-video. And one of the launch videos stars out very own Boris – titled “Why is Tony Blair still in office“?

Boris has elaborated a little more on his drug experiences this weekend. In The Guardian, he admits that he tried cocaine at the time of the infamous sneeze, but it did nothing for him. He also admits to fancying Cherie Blair – conclusive proof that drugs must have been involved somewhere…

Newspaper The People reports that Boris managed to cause an amusing scene at Luton airport. Finding that he’d arrived late for his plane and was unable to fit two of his family on the next flight, he jumped on a windowsill and conducted a bidding war for tickets, eventually paying £1000 a seat to astonished customers.
