Good news for those clamouring on the forums for Boris E-Cards - the script is being tested as we speak. It’s a cracking idea, and one I toyed with months ago, but nothing ever came of it. The new script should be up tomorrow night, with any luck. Anyone have any idea of content for the cards? Humourous taglines, poems (Macarnie…) and anything else would be greatly appreciated…

As noted by blogrot, this morning’s Radio 4 Today programme had Simon Hoggart suggesting Boris should be “saved for the nation” and put forward as a candidate for the House of Lords in the Today poll. Blogrot also ran a very good piece a few weeks ago, promoting his Boris for Bond campaign. Tie all these together with the Channel 4 Political Impact Award recently discovered by Talk Boris posters (everyone click here and vote for Boris) and Boriswatchers have plenty to see and do today…

The Boris enigma continues, despite the lack of Boris at the moment. It seems he is touching areas of life that no other editor/politician/columnist has done before. Three American and Australian magazines want information for their forthcoming articles on Boris and one woman would like his home address so that she can “have his babies”. But pick of the recent emails is a university student who is doing his entire university project on Boris Johnson. That’s right - Boris Johnson is now the subject of high academia…!

Boris responds to the recent events with an excellent piece - Trust me, being sacked isn’t all bad. Highlights include the word “ker-splonked” and the final paragraph - “My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.”

It was with nervous trepidation that I sped up to London yesterday on a train, past the intriguing attempts at artful graffiti, past the ever-changing London skyline. Why am I telling you this? Well, yesterday I was summoned up to a remarkably plush hotel in London, to commit my views of Boris to film for an End of Year show for Channel 5 (or Five, as it’s now trendily known). No guarantee I’ll make the final cut though, but if I do, be prepared for my grinning mug on your television screen - and an invasion of visitors on Boriswatch!
