Boy, have I got a treat for you. After weeks of searching, reader Iain Dale has come up with the goods. If you want Boris Johnson’s recent Vanity Fair article in PDF format, CLICK THIS LINK. Happy reading!
And here it is, Ladies and Gentlemen, the jewel in the crown of upcoming Boris revelations – Boris starts blogging! This is a groundbreaking blog for a serving MP – and I can’t wait to see the coverage it gets. So www.boris-johnson.com is your new bookmark for all official things Boris – although Boriswatch will still be here for the Boris community to rant and rave. Happy reading…
UPDATE: Track the bloggers discovering Boris’s new site here.
It seems Boris is not just a hit with the public – according the the Politics.co.uk website his fellow MPs want a piece of him too – he’s been voted by MPs as their ideal meeting chair, due to his “self-deprecating humour …. worldly wit … relaxed style and ability to get things done”. Nice one, Boris!
Reader Iain Dale – a man how has had the honour of meeting Boris – has signed copies of Seventy Two Virgins available to buy at his online bookshop. Here’s the direct link to the book at Politicos. Thanks, Iain – mine’s ordered!
Bit short notice – in fact, very – but Boris on Newsnight Review with his new book Seventy Two Virgins at 11pm tonight…
UPDATE: And the verdict? A resounding thumbs up from 3 out of the 4 reviewers. The tale end of the discussion centred on the interesting paradox between his celebrity status and his serious political ambitions. Essentially: can he ride two horses with one arse? At least one reviewer though that he could. I agree, but this’ll be a subject for future debate on Boriswatch, I’m sure…
Matt from Phantom Beats reports of a good interview with Radio Oxford… and has a few titbits of info for us. Take it away, Matt:
“Just spoken to a journalist from Independent on Sunday who is doing a feature on him to appear in about 2 weeks.
also have spoken to richard and judy
producers…eeek…who wanted to play the single…Boris is on their show weds 15th Sept”
Thanks, Matt!
A couple of hot Boris tipoffs:
1. Forum reader Ziggy wrote in about a Boris interview on Front Row at 7.15pm tonight (6th September) on Radio 4 (92 to 95 FM).
2. Matt from Phantom Beats is doing an interview tomorrow morning (7th September) on BBC Radio Oxford “somewhere between 7.55 and 9am”.
Just thought I’d take a moment to say thanks for the flood of emails that’s come in recently – if I haven’t posted the relevant info yet, it’ll be up tomorrow night…
